We have for sale a Unusual Georgian Mourning Ring Circa 1790s. The ring consists of an oval glazed compartment under which is set a hand painted mourning sepia. Miniature painting of a lady next to an urn. The inscription on the miniature reads.
The oval compartment on the ring measures 22mm by 16mm. The ring tests as 15ct yellow gold as does the shank on the ring. The shank on the ring is currently sized a British J½ / USA 5 but could be resized up or down by us free of charge. The ring is in very good condition with no visible damage and looks stunning when worn.
