Being offered for sale without reserve this absolutely stunning Antique Edwardian Platinum 0.50ct Diamond solitaire ring circa 1910. This beautiful ring is set with a principle transitional cut round brilliant diamond which is spreading and gauging at approx 0.40ct it is simply stunning. The colour is fabulous and white at an approx guess i would say around the G/H mark the clarity is also very good again at an approx guess around VS2. The shoulders of the ring are set with diamond points around 0.10ct in total the perfect highlight to this stunning centre stone the pictures do not do it justice and do not show how white the stone is. The diamond measures 5 mm in diameter and is a U. K size L 1/2 that is just under a U. The shank is stamped inside clearly with PLAT for platinum also the number 68 not sure what this is. There is also part of the makers mark which reads "& Co" and another mark i cannot make out. As you can see from the pictures three of the claws need re tipping however the diamond is still very secure and there is some wear to the sides of the setting. Also the shank is thinning at the back all of these can be remedied at very little cost but is worth doing for such a beautiful ring.
Please study photos in depth as these are a part of the description. All measurements are approximate all stones have been measured with a Moe diamond weight calculator and a diamond spread sheet.
