Vintage 1950s 2.5 Carat Diamond & 14K White Gold Engagement Ring, Size 6
An extremely rare vintage 1950's 2.48 carat diamond engagement ring with a "ballerina" design featuring a large 1.04 carat brilliant cut diamond solitaire "ballerina" surrounded by a "tutu" of 18 baguette cut diamonds totaling 1.44 carats. The diamonds are natural and untreated. The solitaire is I color and SI2 clarity. The baguettes are HI color and VS-SI clarity. The ring band is a size 6 and 14K white gold. I had the prongs holding the diamonds retipped in 2012 and I would recommend doing so again before wearing (just as a precaution due to the large number of baguettes). The history of this ring is quite unique. It came from an estate in Hollywood, CA and was custom made for the wife of a movie producer. I've always thought it to be one of the most glamorous rings I've ever seen and the brilliance is far more gorgeous than I've been able to capture in my photos. Material(s): Natural untreated diamonds and 14K white gold.
Size: Size 6, Total Weight 3.7 grams. Condition (vintage items will have minor signs of use and age, any more noticeable flaws are noted here): The ring is in amazing condition for it's age. The diamonds are extremely brilliant.
There is some minor wear to the bottom band interior, that is only noticeable when inspecting closely for flaws and not seen when worn. The item "Vintage 1950s 2.5 Carat Diamond & 14K White Gold Engagement Ring, Size 6" is in sale since Tuesday, May 30, 2017.
