ANTIQUE GEORGIAN GOLD HAIR WORK & SEPIA MINIATURE URN MOURNING RING c1790. An antique English 9 carat gold (tests thereabouts) mourning ring, with a navette shaped glass locket holding a sepia miniature & hair work urn, decorated with applied tiny gold and pearl highlights and reading'Alas He's Gone' above. CONDITION : Slight signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Small crack to top of glass, but doesn't break the surface. Adhesive visible to hair within the urn, probably original to manufacture.

DIMENSIONS : 25 x 12 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.
